Our family has been camping our entire existence and even before that. My mom and grandparents took me and my brother camping when we were just babes in the woods. I can’t think of a year in my entire life where I haven’t gone on at least one camping trip. My wife and I started out in a two-man pup tent (things were so much simpler then), graduated to a three-man dome tent, had kids, and bought a large cabin-style tent that would hold a portable crib and still have room to move around. Then my grandparents gave us their old, 1977 Itasca Motorhome. Now we were really styling! We learned to camp fully self contained with a toilet, shower/tub, generator, full kitchen, beds, etc. After many years of camping in the desert, at the beach, in the mountains, and on trips to Mexico, we finally retired the Itasca and invested in a Travel Trailer with a slide-out, sound system, DVD, microwave and more. We’ve had this setup for two years now, and absolutely love it. Being able to park the trailer and explore with the truck has been great. No more days of taking an extra car just so we can get out and about.
